The Peninsula Campaign  E-mail

Seven Days' Battle, Fair Oaks, Malvern Hill

The Union's new general, George McClellan, devises a bold plan to strike around the Confederate position at Manassas by using the Union's domination of the sea. A long, grinding campaign ensues resulting in a resounding defeat of the Union army. While George McClellan proves himself basically inept during the campaign, General Robert E. Lee first demonstrates his brilliance.
